Cover is good quality but its a little small for my pit, I guess thats my fault. It covers my pit but doesnt fall down the sides of the pit as I had hoped so be sure not to make the same mistake but its a good quality cover for sure!

I have a Landmann Big Sky Stars & Moons Fire Pit. I have the 12.5 inch deep one. The cover fits over it even with the spark cover on the pit. The cover comes down about two thirds of the way down the side of the bowl. Part of this would vary on which bowl depth Fire Pit you buy. But all I need covered is the top to prevent rain from entering so it doesnt bother me if the whole bowl and legs are covered.

Works Great, Quirky Experience Rating(4/5)
I'm a 60-year old lady with a 60-year old back that has been protesting my carrying armloads of wood in for the night...
So I basically bought this log carrier to help my back out, and for that purpose it works very well. It's much easier to load it up and not have to pack wood by hand in separate trips.

The package arrived, box-inside-a-box, well packed, and all parts were there.
BUT--and this is the BIG BUT--when I opened the box, there was a smell of spray paint that filled my den and was so strong that I literally had to put the open box on the front porch overnight to get the stink out of it. It seemed to me that they had spray painted the parts, then immediately boxed them --and locked in all of that paint odor in the process. I have never had a package with this strong of a smell inside of it before. Also, one of the parts already had a thin coating of rust on it, nothing that spray paint won't fix but you'd think they would have better quality control.

NOW, all of that being said, it was very easy to assemble and seems very sturdy. I had to blow the tires up some (no surprise there, these tires always go down over time), but once I got that done, I loaded it up and it holds a surprisingly large amount of wood. Rolls easily even when fully loaded, and I was able to roll it from the patio right into the room where my stove is located. I know I'm going to enjoy this item, because I have to transport some wood from my woodpile up to my patio for next year and this will make the job much more tolerable.

Just don't be surprised if this thing stinks like a skunk when you open up the box...

I was tired of lugging in wood with my canvas log carrier. I was a little unsure looking at the pictures, but decided to go wit the Landmann because the price was so good(around $47 incl. shipping from Amazon). Well, long story short, I simply love it. This thing loads up quickly, and it's an easy and fast walk into the house with the wood. Steps aren't really an issue as I only have one to go up. I literally have a full days load in one trip. Is it the absolute sturdiest? I don't know about that.. but look, it does the job and it wasn't terribly expensive. So right now, I'm impressed with its performance and how it makes my life easier. If all goes well, it will last for a long time. If not, for this price I could readily buy another one. I highly recommend.

Great product, almost perfect... Rating(4/5)
Looks great. The granite is heavy and the glass in the bowl is really neat. The metal holding everything may end up being a bit flimsy, but it's not the totally cheap metal you sometimes see, but definitely could be better. That and the ignition not working drop it from a five star. But a lighter works fine and is easy to use to light it. I wonder what would happen if I didn't leave the cover on and it rained on it...there's a hole in the center of the granite middle piece that would let water in on the glass. Seems like they could fix this somehow so it didn't have to be covered. Really easy and convenient with the small bottles. Two bottles on full got big flames and good heat. I didn't notice a bad propane smell. [...]

The "Just Right" fire pit Rating(5/5)
we have a limited amount of space on our patio and the firelight fire pit fit it just perfectly. I like the high quality of the build (which was not too hard to put together (says the engineer)) and quality of the stone and metal finishes are good as well. The starter system worked perfectly and the flame is sufficiently bright with two portable canisters, but not very hot (unless at full burn, then you can flame your eyebrows off, but choke yourself on propane smell). The granite surface is very nice to be able to set feet and beverages on and the low support point for the center stone (when removed from covering the pit) reassures me i won't be knocking this over anytime soon. I do eventually want to buy the propane tank connector and try it out with a big tank as other reviews state you can get a larger flame with the bigger tank. Overall i would highly recommend this fire pit if you're looking for easy, reasonably sized, attractive, and general instant gratification.

I got this pit for my roof and I've had it for a few months now. It looks great and the price is decent. I found the flame output to be very low. When on high the tiny Coleman tanks freeze and pressure decreases very quickly. I don't think they were meant to handle this output. I got the adapter for a standard propane tank which improves output greatly and I no longer run into any freezing problems. Also, the automatic starter was not functional. I've yet to replace it as a match or lighter works fine.

Output with smaller tanks is disappointing

The firepit arrived on time and in perfect condition. Assembly was easy and it works great. The firepit is heavy enough to prevent it blowing over in the wind and the granite top is very attractive. The center cover converts it into a functional table when the flame is off. The tumbled glass, through which the fire burns, creates a beautiful flame. It is a great addition to our home.

Perfect for chilly nights on the deck! Rating(5/5)
I bought this after using a similar one at a B&B. It's great! The top comes off, great for roasting marshmallows. It's sturdy and large enough to have a decent little fire. The only detraction is that I have a wooden shade cover over my deck and the heat and smoke are darkening the wood. I also have some ceramic tiles under it because it does shoot out the occasional spark. I Love It! Highly Recommended for those chilly nights!

This product has met all my expectations and more. Not only is it a great place to burn fallen branches and limbs, but it also make a great portable grill for cooking.It was about 20% cheaper at Amazon.com than anywhere elese I had found it , the only downfall I had was tha assembly took about 45 mins. cause the nuts and bolts were all screwed together so you had to take them apart in order to put it together.

The outdoor fireplace came with a broken wheel. When I called Landmann, the abrupt response was that I would get a replacement in two weeks. After pointing out that the original delivery was in three days, their response was that I didn't buy it from them. In front of me was a packing slip from Landmann which said bill to Amazon and ship to me.
Particularly in view of today's economy it seems that customer service has gone out of the window and the wrong people are employed.

This firebowl is easy to assemble, a little on the flimsy side (my kids bent the hand guard before I'd even finished putting the thing together), the spark screen keeps the sparks in well. We like that it rolls, it is so easy to relocate! Only real drawback we've seen so far is when one adds more fuel to the fire or wants to roast marshmallows, the top opening causes one to put their hands too close to the flames-it would be much better if one side opened, for these activities.

Love my Landmann Ornamental Scroll Log Rack! Rating(5/5)
I purchase this to keep my firewood nicely displayed and within reach from my patio. The 8 foot Ornamental Scroll design sets it off nicely on each side.
It is quite sturdy, made of high quality metal, and even after loading the logs way to the top, it still has good stability. It also has support in the lower center of rack that is not shown in the picture.
I did get a deep "bronze" shade delivered, and it looks beautiful next to my black wrought iron patio set. The bronze appears to have black hues in it as well.
Set was so easy to set up and I was able to use it immediately.
Shipping was very quick and it arrived securely.
Made in USA too!
I highly recommend this Ornamental scroll log rack if you want a sturdy solution to your log stacking as well as having the pretty feature of the scroll design.

Ok....purchased one of these racks last year and it was shipped quickly but as many have reported the packaging is not built too sturdy...especially for a bunch of metal pipes bouncing around. The 1st rack I purchased was missing a single Bolt.......which was easy enough to replace by going to HOME DEPOT.

The Racks are sturdy and easy to assemble in 15 minutes........they are supposed to hold 1/4 cord of wood but can hold a bit more with proper stacking.

I liked the 1st one I purchased so much I got another one recently....once again...quick shipping but this time the 3 metal Crossbar Plates were missing.

I called the company at like 3:30pm on a Thursday afternoon and was answered very quickly. The customer service rep took my information and had the replacement parts sent out. They arrived within a week.

For the price these racks can't be beat...they are sturdy and easy to assemble.
I'd give 5 Starts.....but they do need to address their packaging and proper securing of the assembly parts inside beside a flimsy plastic bag taped to one of the poles.

Great rack for your split firewood! Keeps wood off ground. Color is miss-labeled, it's really a bronze color, but that doesn't matter. Easy as pie to assemble. Don't bother to get the cover with it, its' plastic, gets brittle and cracks easily. Won't last the winter! [...] It's made of a heavy burlap type material that will last for several years. I own 3 racks and cover then when it snows.

An attractive sturdy rack Rating(4/5)
This rack replaces a rack I gave my son that uses wooden 2x4 boards on the bottom to put your firewood on and hold the sides together. Over time these boards will rot and need replacing. This all-metal rack was simple to assemble, keeps my firewood well off the ground, and should last for many years. Be aware though that you will need three cinder blocks of some sort to rest the legs on to keep the rack level and from pressing into the ground. It cost a little more than my old firewood rack, but well worth it.

I shopped for several weeks before purchasing this fire bowl from Target. While not as glitzy or heavy as some others, it gives you everything you need, at the lowest price I could find. Have enjoyed nice "campfires" sitting on the patio on cool Minnesota evenings. Logs burn nicely, down to great marshmallow-roasting coals. With vinyl cover, I can just leave it out in a corner.

The report of difficult assembly by another reviewer puzzles me. I'm not very handy, but had no difficulty putting it together. Looking over the instructions is a good idea.

Arrived with a couple dents in it -- poorly packaged. Didn't bother returning it. It took about 30 minutes to put together with a wrench, ratchet and screw driver. It looks nice otherwise and seems well designed. It's neither sturdy nor flimsy, somewhere in-between. The base stayed cool when I had a fire in it which I appreciate. One thing that's not obvious from the photos is the broiler has a lot of white flecks in the finish (on purpose). I did not notice this when I ordered it.

You have got to get this! We had had a similar item like this and used it almost everyday for the past 6 years when it started to show wear and tear. We looked around and nothing we saw could compare to this style and thats when my search started to find a close replacement. This is about as close as we could get. The design is fantastic! You have access through screens on all sides and it easily adjusts from a small fire to a roaring one. Also it is a snap to clean. We leave ours out all year, even through our harsh winters but we now cover it only to preserve it longer. If this one lasts as long as our old one we will be more than happy. Great buy, quality product, and free shipping. You can't go wrong.
This is not for a deck, or small space as it throws off a lot of heat and is heavy.

Exactly what I wanted Rating(5/5)
I chose this fire pit after reading the good reviews by other buyers on here. It arrived yesterday, and I assembled it this morning very easily. Only standard screwdriver and crescent wrench required. The manufacturer also recommends putting 5 pounds of sand in the bottom of the unit. I've built one fire so far, and the fire pit is exactly what I was looking for. Good size for the backyard in the city. Big enough so I can build a huge fire some night, but not too big to look ridiculous (they sell a larger size that I think would have been too big for my yard). FYI, the fire pit itself is 12 inches deep. I think the overall dimensions above (17 inches) include the legs too.

This fire pit is great! Fill with a couple inches of sandbox sand from HomeDepot and you're ready to go. My wife, kids and I have had loads of fun sitting around the campfire having a good time. We also cook on the grill that included and love it! To cover it, we bought a cheap tarp from HomeDepot and fold it under the 3 firepit legs...works great and survives the winds and rain!

I shopped for fire pits for MONTHS before deciding on this one. I wanted something deep enough to be able to add more than one skinny log to, AND have the cover fit correctly. We can easily fit several good sized logs in the pit and still use the cover. The side cutouts are great for air circulation. The grate works wonderful for everything from steaks to veggies! My boys like it for the obvious reasons: hotdogs and marshmallows. We have it on a two story wood deck. Instead of the expensive pads that they sell for under them to avoid embers from scorching or burning the deck, I went to Lowes and got 9 of the square concrete stepping stones. They made a nice 4ft x 4ft pad and only cost about $25.00. The mesh of the cover is so tiny that any embers escaping will not be large enough to even make it to the ground, let alone burn anything. Over all, we love it. Especially my husband, and he didn't want me to get one in the first place. I am going to get a cover to keep the rain and snow out. There are no drainage holes in the bottom and we would like to still use it in the winter. I would definitely buy this again.

Very sturdy cast iron bottom...they bowl is a bit shallow but fits 3 logs very nicely with the lid on. We have used ours over a dozen times and love it with no problems at all. It is a nice piece if you are just looking for something nice but basic with out paying an arm and a leg! We have the Amazon Prime so when we ordered it at 4pm we had it by the next morning at 11am!! Can't ask for better than that!!

We like using Real Flame - much easier to use and clean versus wood. There's a bit of an odor at the start, but it goes away shortly. After a couple minutes, the flames look pretty realistic. The cans give off a surprising amount of heat. And in my experience, the cans last for approx 3 hours, exactly what's promised on the can.

Delivery was good too. The box arrived in just 4-5 days, and everything was in good shape.

Honestly, we've only used this a few times, but have loved it when we did. I like the full access to viewing the flames while still having the ability to keep it totally enclosed. Also, you can open up half of the top and roast hot dogs, marshmellows, etc.

Unwrap Everything First Rating(3/5)
First, the pros: it's a great looking, easy to use, warmth giving fireplace. We used it the very first day we got it and enjoyed it immensely. I'd give it 5 stars if it weren't for the following cons, which have nothing to do with its performance.

The cons: It was missing the poker and it was missing the assembly instructions. Although we didn't particularly need the poker, we most definitely needed the assembly instructions. We went through every piece of paper and styrofoam in the box and they were simply missing. The internet came to the rescue and we downloaded and printed a set.

Originally, it appeared that some of the screws and nuts were missing. But, when we had finally unwrapped everything, including the handles that you assemble late in the process, we found more screws and nuts already mounted (which you have to unmount). In fact, most of the screws and nuts came in bags but they came screwed together, which is of no use and is ultimately a time-waster, since you've got to unscrew them all from one another to use them. Although some of the screws and nuts came assembled to the larger sections of the fireplace, we found several just floating around in the styrofoam when we were looking for the manual. I suspect that they had originally been attached to one of the rings or handles and worked themselves loose during shipping. They're easy to miss, so make sure to inspect everything before you toss out the packaging.

Because of the size and heft of the assembled pieces, this is a two person job. It all fit together reasonably well, but getting the last few screws and holes to line up was difficult since there was little play left in the metal pieces.

Also just wanted to echo a previous reviewer who said that you need to have sand for the bowl. That is indeed what the manual indicates, so we bought three one-pound bags of horticultural sand at the local hardware store. I think five pounds will probably be ideal, so we'll probably add a couple more soon.

My girlfriend has everything. So coming up with a Christmas idea other than the usual was tough to say the least. She lives in a colder part of the state and often at my house we light a fire to cozy to the warmth and glow. I'm a hopeless romantic when it comes to such things and being without a fireplace at our northern house seemed out of place.

With those thoughts in mind I set out to find something nice, unusual and well made. I happened upon the Landmann Big Sky Stars and Moons fire pit on The Amazon.com site. I ordered it and it came quickly. I was a bit astonished at how big the box that housed the product was. Furthermore, it used an entire roll of Christmas wrapping paper to cover it.

Needless to say my girlfriend was pleased. We have fired this pit up several times and it's glow is very inviting. We have cooked smores with our two daugthers and have had a great time. It's a wonderful product and I highly recommend it's purchase.

I just bought this item and had some friends over the other night. It was chilly outside and so we started a fire. This thing works great! I like it because it is deep and it holds pretty large pieces of wood. It looks nice, and seems to be well-made, although the ring on the outside was a little off.

This was ordered to actually go into our deep fireplace inside our home since it is an odd shape and we have not been able to find mesh or glass curtains to fit it and for custom work to be done would have cost thousands. We ordered this product in the Sun and Moon design and have had fires in the fireplace and it works very well for us. It keeps all the sparks inside the pit and the smoke goes straight up the chimney and is beautiful. The build is great, very solid. It comes so you screw in the legs and put the handle that goes around the pit together and that is it for construction. LOVE it.

This is a great product which has expanded the use of our backyard and created fun family time. There's nothing like roasting marshmallows to bring all ages together. I especially enjoy this design because the fire is completely contained. I'm confident in leaving the fire without dousing it with water.

- Works well as a BBQ with a fairly large amount of charcoal. Small grilling jobs are better done on a smaller BBQ.

This is not a comment on the seller. It was shipped fast, and considering you can't buy them in stores, a penny a match isn't asking a lot.

This is a comment on the product. They don't light very easily. Count on needing a foot long surface to strike it on. Not too rough, or it will eat the match head off and it won't light. And don't push too hard or too softly. If you fail the first try, you probably wore too much of the head off, and you might as well give up and start with a new match. About one out of every 5 of these has failed on me so far.

I'm not saying they're terrible, and it could just be my memory that's worse and not the matches. They are definitely harder to light than strike-on-the-box matches.

Why can't we buy these in the store anymore? It is so nice to be able to strike the match anywhere - you can take a few with you in your pocket and not have to have the entire box. Just pull one out and strike it anywhere - even on your zipper! Marvelous invention - why is it sometimes we had better things years ago! Now they sell the strike ONLY on the BOX matches - you have to carry the BOX EVERYWHERE - what a pain! Strike ANYWHERE is the way to go!!!

Flimsy cover Rating(3/5)
Price was right. Arrived prior to their estimate. Easy to put together. The only problem is after having up for one week and getting a little snow, I wiped the top off with my hand to clear the snow and found an 8 inch rip. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. However, I made a call to the customer service number (that took a couple time because nobody picked up for the "customer service" prompt). A nice lady by the name of Nancy listened to my complaint and, much to my surprise, said "I'm sorry you've having a problem". She went on to say that I was not the first customer to call about the flimsy material on the cover. She immediately offered to send me a new cover at no charge. She also mentioned that should I desire, I can purchase an upgraded canvas cover, normally 49.95 for 19.95. I would think that if the company knew there was a problem with the cover material that they would automatically upgrade the cover material. I think we'd all pay a little more for a quality product. I'm awaiting the cover to get here - will probably be a while since we just got over 36 inches of snow. While I know the new cover will also at some point rip, I believe that this company cares about its customers. Nancy's prompt concern and attention tells me that.
Now if the snow would melt a little I could get to my firewood and have a fire!!!!
If they upgrade the cover, I would highly recommend this product.

Good Rack, Terrible Cover Rating(3/5)
The rack itself is very nice, sturdy and perfect for what I needed. The cover that comes with it, isn't worth the time. It's like paper, only more fragile. I couldn't believe how easy it was to rip this cover. I would also recommend not stacking your firewood any higher than the 4 feet that the sides can support. Because the legs are so close together from front to back, this can become very top-heavy and fall over (yes I am speaking from experience). Overall, the rack is very nice.

i was searching for fireplace tools to give as a gift for a campfire enthusiast who recently moved into an apartment with a working wood burning fireplace... initially my search was for a tool set, but quickly i realized it might be a waste of money because most of those tools are more display pieces as they re not very practical. when i came across this product i nervously selected it... it wasn't as pretty as some of the other sets, but my guy told me to go with it because it seemed to be exactly what my friend needed. I spent a lot of time researching fireplace tools and this gadget seemed like it would be handy for use in our outdoor fire pit. We previously used a poker but it just didn't grab the logs like we needed it to. This grabber is sturdier than it looks. Pulling it from the box, I wondered if it would do the job and it really does! Large and small logs...doesn't matter the size or shape. The only problem we had was the grip on the handle kept sliding off, but with a little glue we were back in business. I highly recommend this product.

At first you think $25 for some log grabber isn't necessary. Then you'll use it to stack and restack fallen logs and you'll realize that it's a great investment. I actually still have all of my arm hair this summer! I use this in an in-ground fire pit I made in the yard. Once you get the hang of it you just grab some wood and place it any way you want in the fire. The leverage is such that you can pick up pretty big pieces of wood. Then when things burn down you can reorganize the wood to make it burn better or more completely. Anyway, I've had it for the summer and it's working great. Can't see it ever failing. Although I do keep it out of the weather when I'm not using it. Anyone with an average strength can use this easily.

I got one of these for my birthday and we have already used it twice. Makes sitting out and watching the stars on a cold night very toasty!

It's quite massive and solid in construction. Assembly was easy and intuitive. Three of the nuts were missing so it cost me 15-cents extra after a visit to the local hardware store. I painted mine all black with high-temperature paint for that turn-o'-the-century look. It should only be used under light wind to no wind conditions unless it is placed someplace where there is a windbreak - the all-around exposure of the unit can cause embers to really fly if you do try to set it up when there's a real wind. Heats well if it's above 50 degrees outside. Grille on top of the smokestack lets you heat up some water for coffee just for the heck of it. Lets you sit outside a bit earlier in the season before the mosquitos emerge. Toast marshmallows and vege outdoors. Fun.

There is some "convincing" needed to assemble the unit, but it is do-able.
We have had ours for over a year, and my only complaint is that the log grids have burned up and are deformed and almost unusable after the year. I would not complain if I could get replacement grids, but no one seems to have them available, except some peasant in China who makes them. I admit, we do burn some hard woods and have nice hot fires %^), but without replacable grids, it is a throw away after a year. %^(
Anyone have any ideas on making replacements with something that can stand more heat than cast iron?? I am pretty resourceful if I can find the right material that can take the beating.

at first, i was overwhelmed with the pieces to be assembled. i'm not one to assemble things easily. so, i had my husband put the chimnea together - taking well over an hour, in hopes of no missing bolts 'n pieces. to my amazement, the outdoor fireplace looked very nice. it took a couple guys to carry the fireplace outside the patio/garden. we threw a duraflame firelog in it that evening to test the endurance of the fireplace. it held! the ambience was perfect. the piece is quite sturdy and safe. i definitely would recommend this chimnea to any of you shoppers out there, especially now that we're facing cold, chilly nites. just wrap yourselves in warm, fuzzy blankets, enjoy the wine with friends, and relax on your chaise lounges, and stare into the glowing flames.

Very nice look until you use it :) Rating(4/5)
This thing is about as sexy as portable outdoor fireplaces come. My only issue with it at all is very obvious... after you put fire in it, within 30 seconds it turns a gray sooty color. Obviously this is what copper does when you heat it up, so its to be expected...but its was just so sweet looking when it was new and fresh. :)

I use this on an uncovered deck in the West Virginia mountains, it has sat outside in the elements, and used almost every weekend for about 3 months. It was easy to put together (really easy) and it is still working like a charm. the reality is I build huge fires and I love to use lighter fluid rather I need it or not.... I have burned this thing so hot the screen turns bright orange, but it has not broken or melted or bent yet! I appreciate the top cover on the chimney which cuts down on the sparks flying out, and the 360 screen is great however in high winds it does put some smoke out one side. I actually BBQ'd on this three weeks ago and it worked great. Over all I am satisfied with it, but I have to admit it was much better looking when I took it out of the box! I have added some photo's for your enjoyment (think big fire).

Set-up is quick and easy. Initially, with its high-gloss finish, it looked like an alien mothership that landed in our back yard. After several fires, it acquired a wonderful patina, making it look warm and classy. Its 360-degree screen makes it a delight to sit around it, for everyone gets to enjoy the light and warmth of the fire.

The design contains sparks well, so we don't worry about accidental fires, even though we have it placed about ten feet from a large Norwegian pine tree.

Our only real complaint is that it is vrelatively light and subject to tipping in high winds.

This fireplace is just ok. On the plus side, it is attractive, easy to assemble, and fairly easy to move (not very heavy). On the minus side, RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX we noticed some rust getting started on the stand at the leg welds, so the quality is questionable. In spite of the fact that the manufacturer packed the fireplace with styrofoam, bubble wrap and a copious amount of cardboard and paper, the copper parts and the screen still had some significant dents in them (fortunately, we were able to hammer it all out). Also, this #30076 fireplace that we received is 41" tall, NOT 50" as Amazon's product page indicates (it says 41" on the box, and we measured it). Which means if you're sitting next to it in say, an adirondack chair, the vent between the chimney and the cap is at eye level. The grates we received are not porcelain coated as indicated on the product page (this is NOT listed as a feature on the box, either). My guess is this fireplace might last outdoors here in Southern California for a year or two--after that the stand, grates and the screen will rust and need replacing because they just have a sprayed-on wrinkle finish (not powder-coated). If you want something that will stay with you year after year, be prepared to spend a lot more.

As some reviewers have noted, this cover tends to run smaller than what is required to realistically cover a 44 inch fire pit.

That being said, if you have one of the excellent Landmann 40 inch pits like we do this will work great for you and it is definitely priced right.

Great product! Excellent value for the price. I have used one with removable screens on all four sides and this unit is much nicer. You can move wood around inside without fear of dislodging screens. Drawer for ashes is very handy.

I purchased this firepit for my husband for his birthday. In the past we have bought other firepits with varied success. We have used this one a couple times already and it works well. The fire burns and you can view it from all sides which is nice. As other people mention it is not two toned metal as it appears in the picture, but it's not a big deal. It was easy to put together and is fairly solid.

I needed a carrier and I also needed a small stand that would hold the wood on my deck next to the fireplace prior to burning (a staging area from the yard storage to the fireplace). One dimension that is not given is the actual canvas carrier. It is approx. 16" X 38" which is pretty good size. While I would like it a little wider (my logs are 20 to 24 "), it gets the job done and at this price who can complain. I am glad I made the purchase. It comes in a small box and assembly takes a couple minutes with the longest time spent getting the Phillips screwdriver that is used on the four screws that hold the four sections of black pipe together. The picture shown is true to form and the logs used appear to be 24" logs. Most people would not want to carry a load larger than shown.

I didn't want the stand, and I do not use the stand. I just wanted a good size canvas carrier, and that is what I got. It's big enough to hold as many logs as I can comfortably carry. I'm estimating about 30-35lbs. to give you a rough idea.
There are wooden dowels that are in the ends to keep them out straight like you see in the picture, but they are not sewn in and fall out a lot. I eventually just left them out and it works just fine, provided you are not using the stand. I can not speak for any use of the stand because I never used the stand itself.

Great log rack at a great value with questionable packaging Rating(4/5)
Product is as described and is easy to assemble. Holds 1/4 cord of wood PLUS depending on how high you stack.

Shipping was quick but the packaging left alot to be desired...in particular for the Fastening Bolts (which are the MOST IMPORTANT part of the package IMO).

It seems they kinda tape or fasten the bolts into the plastic of the End loops....however it is definite that during shipping....these bolts come loose and bounce around in the box.

You need 12 Bolts with Washers & Nuts.....I got 11....so had to run over to HOME DEPOT and find ones that fit into the holes of the middle bracket.

If they fix that.....this is the best option for a log rack at an affordable price.

Due to the draught in SE Tennessee, I have lost several large trees the last couple years. Therefore I had several dead trees taken down and cut up for firewood. I ordered 2 Landmann 8' racks and they were so well made, I ended up ordering 2 more, and now I have 5 all together stacked with firewood. The quality is excelent, easy to assemble, and they are very sturdy and well made. And they keep the wood off the ground! Also, I received them all within 3 to 5 days from ordering date with "FREE SHIPPING"!

The product itself seems to be good but the packaging is sub par. We ordered two 8' racks. Both cartons arrived with the ends split open. When we opened them to assemble the racks some the nuts and bolts were missing having come out of the flimsy plastic package inside. I suggest that the nuts and bolts be packaged inside a sturdy box and firmly taped inside the shipping carton. We tried calling Landman but they were closed for the day so we just bought the missing parts, a needless hassle.

The photo does not match the product. There are bars in the end loops and there are no longer cross ties for the bottom of the legs. I had to make my own to prevent spreading. Still good value for the money.

You get what you pay for, so with this you get a noisy little device with fairly poor airflow, but if you crank very hard and don't expect a lot out of it, it is fine. I am now looking for a traditional bellows to get more air with less noise.

It does what it says! It blows a constant and concentrated stream of air right where you need it. I lost the attachments in my fire and they melted:( Also, after about a month, the air grill inflator started making a really loud noise while operating. Overall, recommended for anyone with a wood stove!
